Joan lived and worked in New York City for more than 10 years, working for The Travel Corporation group of companies including Trafalgar Tours, Insight International, Contiki Holidays and AAT Kings Australia. Joan held the position of Senior Vice President Marketing USA. Her responsibilities involved partnership marketing in the retail sector, direct mail strategies and e-commerce, as well as being actively involved with a variety of international tourism boards. In Australia Joan utilised her skills in Sales and Marketing with Qantas Airways and Continental Airlines.
